Senior Industry Manager – Apparel & Textile

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the industry’s business strategy and annual growth plan
• Identify market opportunities and develop commercially viable service offerings
• Acquire key corporate clients and establish strategic partnerships
• Expand and strengthen the industry’s vendor and service-provider network
• Lead major proposals, commercial negotiations and contract discussions
• Manage revenue targets, budgets and profitability for the assigned industry
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Development to deliver industry initiatives
• Monitor service quality, business risks and performance against agreed targets
• Lead and develop the assigned industry team
• Report business performance and growth opportunities to senior management
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Management, Textile Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or a related field
• More than 10 years of experience in apparel manufacturing, textile production, sourcing, merchandising or related businesses, including at least 5 years in a management or leadership role
• Strong understanding of product development, costing, production planning, quality control and supply chains
• Established relationships with manufacturers, textile suppliers, designers or apparel brands
• Proven ability to secure commercial opportunities, negotiate supplier agreements and manage profitability
• Strong strategic planning, vendor management and leadership skills
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Experience with digital platforms or service marketplaces is an advantage

• Academic certificates and transcripts, from SPM or equivalent onwards
• A copy of your NRIC or passport
• A recent passport-sized photograph
